Cumin Seeds are small in size, boat shaped and looks like caraway seeds. Generally their colour is brownish yellow, otherwise we can also find black, green and white cumin too. This is also known as Jeera.
Jeera / Cumin an ancient spice, which was used in preserving mummies too. At the same time It is also used extensively in India in various spice blends like Garam Masala, Curry Powder. Cumin seeds can be kept in the freezer to keep their flavour for a longer period. Cumin can be stored easily for 1 to 2 years.
