Home Cooked Sooji Halwa/ सूजी हलवा

Easy Step-by-Step Instructions for making Sooji Halwa at Home.

To prepare sooji halwa, start by heating ghee in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the semolina and roast it, stirring continuously, until it turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma.

In a separate pot, bring water or milk to a boil. Once boiling, carefully add it to the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Add sugar to the mixture and stir until it dissolves completely.

Add cardamom powder and mix well. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the halwa thickens and the semolina absorbs the liquid.

Once it reaches a desirable consistency, remove from heat. Garnish with fried cashews and raisins, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy this delicious sweet treat!
