Easy Step-by-Step Instructions for making Samosa at Home.

Preparation Steps for Samosa:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead until you form a soft, pliable dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

2. In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

3. Add the mashed potatoes, green peas, and spices. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the filling is well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool.

4. Divide the rested dough into equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten it into an oval shape.

5. Cut the oval in half to create two semi-circles. Take one semi-circle and form a cone by folding it. Seal the edge with a little water.

6. Fill the cone with the potato filling, then seal the open edge by pinching it together to form a triangle.

7. Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. Once hot, gently slide the prepared samosas into the oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

8. Remove the samosas from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
