How to Make Khaman Dhokla/ खमन ढोकला – Easy Step-by-Step Instructions.

Preparation Steps for Khaman Dhokla

1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour and semolina. Add yogurt, water, turmeric powder, salt, and ginger paste. Mix well to form a smooth batter.

2. Let the batter rest for about 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a steamer by filling it with water and bringing it to a boil.

3. After resting, add baking soda and lemon juice to the batter. Mix gently until well combined.

4. Grease a steaming tray or plate with oil. Pour the batter into the tray, spreading it evenly.

5. Place the tray in the steamer and cover it. Steam for about 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6. Once cooked, remove the tray from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.

7. In a small pan, heat oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter, then add curry leaves.
