How to Make Lauki paratha/ लौकी पराठा – Easy Step-by-Step Instructions.

Preparing the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour with salt. Grate the bottle gourd and squeeze out excess water. Add the grated lauki to the flour mixture. Gradually add water and knead the dough until smooth and soft. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10-15 minutes. (Time taken: 10-15 minutes)

Rolling the Parathas:
Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a smooth ball and flatten it slightly. Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a round, even paratha, dusting with flour as needed to prevent sticking. (Time taken: 8-10 minutes)

Cooking the Paratha:
Heat a tawa or flat pan on medium heat. Place the rolled paratha onto the hot tawa and cook for 1-2 minutes on one side, until you see light brown spots. Flip it over and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes, pressing gently with a cloth or spatula. Apply a small amount of ghee or oil and cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy. (Time taken: 4-5 minutes per paratha)

Serving the Lauki Paratha:
Once cooked, remove the paratha from the tawa and place it on a plate. Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or a curry of your choice for a complete meal. (Time taken: 1-2 minutes)

Total Time Taken: Approximately 30-35 minutes, depending on the number of parathas being cooked.
