How to Make Jain Missi Roti/ जैन मिस्सी रोटी – Easy Step-by-Step Instructions.

Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, chickpea flour, and all the dry spices. Gradually add water, little by little, and knead into a smooth, soft dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes. Time: 10 minutes

Divide and Roll the Dough: After resting, divide the dough into equal-sized balls, approximately the size of a golf ball. Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a round, flat disc, about 6-8 inches in diameter. Lightly dust the rolling surface with flour to prevent sticking. Time: 5 minutes

Cook on the Tawa: Heat a tawa or griddle on medium-high heat. Once hot, place the rolled-out dough onto the tawa. Cook for 30 seconds, then flip the roti. Press gently with a cloth or spatula to ensure even cooking. After 1 minute, flip again, and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides. You can drizzle a little ghee or oil while cooking for added flavor. Time: 3-4 minutes per roti

Serve the Roti: Once cooked, remove the roti from the tawa and place it on a plate. You can keep the rotis covered with a clean cloth to keep them warm until ready to serve. Enjoy your fresh Jain Missi Roti with your favorite side dish or curry. Time: 1-2 minutes

Total Time: Approximately 20-25 minutes to make and serve Jain Missi Roti.
